Dear Parents and Guardians,

On behalf of all staff of C.I. Johnson Elementary School, we welcome you to the 2023-2024 school year! We are excited to have all our students back in school.

Our mission at East Aurora District 131 is to educate and empower all students to reach their full potential. Our goal at C.I. Johnson Elementary School is to provide a challenging curriculum in a safe and supportive environment, so that our students can achieve their highest potential.

During this school year, we will share many new and exciting opportunities together. I look forward in making this a positive school year for all students and families. We believe it is everyone’s responsibility to empower our students with creative, intellectual, and decision-making skills for our students to become academically, socially, physically, and emotionally successful and responsible individuals.

With that in mind, you are invited to be an active participant at C.I. Johnson Elementary. You are welcome to be a classroom volunteer, attend school functions, volunteer at special school events, and network with other families during arrival and dismissal time.

We want our families to be an essential part of their child learning experience. We will keep you informed of school events that are taking place at C.I. Johnson and the district. The information in our Parent/Student Handbook provides a summary of our school procedures, expectations, and guidelines. All parents and students are encouraged to read the document throughout the school year.

Estimados padres y tutores:

¡En parte del personal de la C.I. Johnson Elementary School, le damos la bienvenida al año escolar 2023-2024! Estamos emocionados de tener a todos nuestros estudiantes de nuevo en la escuela.

Nuestra misión en el Distrito Escolar 131 del Este de Aurora es educar y capacitar a todos los estudiantes para que alcancen su máximo potencial. Nuestra misión en C.I. Johnson Elementary School es proporcionar un currículo desafiante en un ambiente seguro y de apoyo, para que nuestros estudiantes puedan alcanzar su máximo potencial.

Durante este año escolar, compartiremos juntos muchas oportunidades nuevas y emocionantes. Espero que este año escolar sea positivo para todos los estudiantes y las familias. Creemos que es la responsabilidad de todos a capacitar a nuestros estudiantes con habilidades creativas, intelectuales y de toma de decisiones para que nuestros estudiantes se conviertan en individuos exitosos y responsables académicamente, socialmente, físicamente y emocionalmente.

Con esto en mente, ustedes están invitados a ser un participante activo en la C.I. Johnson Elementary School. Ustedes son bienvenidos a ser un voluntario de salón de clase, asistir a las funciones de la escuela, ser voluntario en eventos especiales de la escuela y la conexión con otras familias durante la hora de llegada y salida.

Queremos que nuestras familias sean una parte esencial en la experiencia de aprendizaje de sus hijos. Les mantendremos informados de los eventos escolares que tengan lugar en la C.I. Johnson y en el distrito. La información en nuestro Manual de Padres/Estudiantes proporciona un resumen de nuestros procedimientos escolares, expectativas y directrices. Se anima a todos los padres y estudiantes a leer el documento a lo largo del año escolar.
