About Our School
Welcome to C.I. Johnson Elementary School!
C.I. Johnson Elementary School is located in Aurora, IL a far western suburban area of Chicago. We are one of 22 schools in East Aurora School District 131 with approximately 300 students. We proudly serve students in grades 3rd through 5th. Our school is named after Clifford I. Johnson, who was a pharmacist and former school board member.

At Johnson Elementary School, we educate and empower all students to reach their full potential by fostering a love of learning, critical thinking, and responsible citizenship in a safe and inclusive environment.

At Johnson Elementary, we envision a future where every child flourishes. We're committed to nurturing lifelong learners who are also innovative problem-solvers and compassionate leaders. We do this by providing engaging education that fosters critical thinking and responsible citizenship, empowering each student to discover their strengths and confidently succeed in a changing world.
Academic Offerings
C.I. Johnson teaches students from third through fifth grade. We are a Magnet program which also has instruction in Project Lead the Way. Johnson is also very proud to offer our students a STEAM Lab and Maker Space, with allows our students to engage in creative thinking, math, engineering, science, and technology tasks. We also offer various rooms used for interventions and working with students in smaller groups or individually. Students have the opportunity to visit the library weekly, as well as participate in physical education, music, and art.
